Virgil Paul Lindner

	Virgil Paul Lindner, 75, of Du Quoin, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.
	Mr. Lindner was a retired Coal Miner form Consolidated Inland Mine #1 and a member of the UMWA.  He was a member of Assembly of God Church.
	Mr. Lindner was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
	He was born February 18, 1928 in Du Quoin, the son of John and Lena Mary (Schleuter) Lindner.  He married Rosa Brayfield on August 30, 1957 in Du Quoin.
	Surviving are his wife, Rosa Lindner of Du Quoin; two sons, Steve (Marat) Lindner of Greenbelt, Md. and Eric (Cathy) Lindner of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; two daughters, Sharon (George) Foster of Du Quoin and Jana (Mark) Cornell of Matoon; one brother, John (Floy) Lindner of Du Quoin; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
	Funeral services were Saturday, April 26 at 10 a.m. at Maxton Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wesley Cornell officiating.  Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery in Du Quoin.
	Friends called after 6 p.m. Friday at Maxton Funeral Chapel.
